So yeah... those cool discoveries...

So I have to share this cool discovery...

My wife and I like to have fondue on friday nights... and we got hooked on the bread from Safeway in Arizona for doing it. Well, the first few weeks we were here, we couldn't find any decent bread. Since then, we've found SOME that was decent, but we have continued to search.

Today, we took the New Times Best of Syracuse listing and decided to check out their listing on "Best Bread" - we were not disappointed...

We visited the Columbus Bread Co. which is located in little Italy. This place is a tiny hole in the wall in little Italy, and when you go in, you'd swear you walked into some third-world country. The whole place is covered in flour, with a whole family of old-world Italians neading and spreading the dough for the bread. As you watch from outside you see car after car drive up to the front of the store - go in - and walk out with arms full of bread. The cash register has to be at least 70 years old, and they don't take charge cards. We bought 3 loaves for $5, and it was awesome.

Highly recommended.
